Don't Get the Common Cold

2. Get a massive amount rest. It may be really tempting, particularly when things are generally tense, to stay up really late. Maybe you need to achieve a lot more. Maybe you need to spend more time with your close friends. Maybe there exists a television show you have been waiting around to catch. All of those things lower the amount of sleep that you are able to get. You have to have to give your body enough rest so that it will have the vitality to fight off any infections that want to set in. Plus: it is when you're resting that the entire body does all of its servicing and repairs. The more sleep you get, the easier a time your body will have preventing an infection and then getting rid of it if it happens to take hold of you anyway.

3. Stay properly hydrated. Your system requires at the very least eight eight ounce cups of water every day to be healthy. Your body demands the hydration to help it eliminate the toxins that have taken up residence in your system. If you aren't effectively hydrated, bacteria just stick around instead of getting flushed out. Remember: your body can last about 1 week without eating solid food. Without h2o, you will only last a day or two. This on it's own should make you understand just how important proper hydration is.

The thing is: there isn't any sensational cure for the common cold. What you can do, however, is practice good sense, wash your hands a lot, get sufficient rest each night and stay properly hydrated.
